The government must stop acting as an advocate for Israel’s crimes, which have ignited the flames of war, with a visible danger of conflagration and generalization throughout the region

During a debate held in the Greek Parliament on 18 June 2025 regarding the responsibilities of certain government officials for the railway crime in Tempe, Dimitris Koutsoumbas, GS of the CC of the KKE, briefly addressed the recent critical international developments and the crimes of the murderous state of Israel. Dimitris Koutsoumbas saidthe following, among other things:

“With this state of injustice, which leaves the people unprotected against natural disasters, tramples on their rights and needs, and entangles them more and more in enormous war risks in order to serve the profits of the few, there can be no peace whatsoever.

And as everyone in this country is anxiously following the critical regional developments of recent days, we reiterate our demand that the government must stop acting as an advocate for the criminals of the murderous state of Israel at the expense of the suffering people of Palestine and those of Iran, Syria, Lebanon and Yemen. These crimes have ignited the flames of war, with a visible danger of conflagration and generalization throughout the region”.
