Full participation of COSCO dockers in their strike

On 3 October 2025, the dockers working at COSCO’s piers in the Port of Piraeus participated en masse in the strike called by the Container Handling Workers’ Union in the Port of Piraeus (ENEDEP).

The dockers and their union responded immediately to the criminal attack by the murderous Israeli state on the “Global Sumud Flotilla” solidarity fleet by staging a strike.

As with previous mobilizations, they once again conveyed the message that they will continue to block shipments of death and refuse to become cogs in the war machine. They also reiterated their commitment to ensuring that ports do not become bases for war.

The dockers are joining forces with their colleagues in other Mediterranean and European ports, as agreed at the recent international meeting in order to coordinate their struggle.

Nikos Ambatielos, a member of parliament for the Communist Party of Greece, attended the dockers’ strike rally.
