The Communist Party of Greece condemns any scenario of imperialist intervention by the USA in Venezuela and expresses its internationalist solidarity with the Venezuelan people

In a statement on the threats of US imperialist intervention in Venezuela, the Press Office of the Central Committee of the KKE reports the following:

"The statements by US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth, who announced the launch of a military operation in the Caribbean called Southern Spear, as well as the arrival of the largest US aircraft carrier, the USS Gerald R. Ford, in the region, constitute a sharp escalation of imperialist aggression against Venezuela and other peoples in the region. The fight against drug trafficking is yet another flimsy pretext.

The KKE condemns any scenario of US imperialist intervention in Venezuela and expresses its internationalist solidarity with its people, who alone have the right to determine developments in their homeland."
